I hope that everyone had a great halloween =). It's not really something greatly celebrated over here, but in some subdivisions and malls you can see a lot of kids doing trick or treat and costume competitions. When I was a kid I don't recall doing anything special for halloween, but my dad would usually give me and my younger sister some candies, and we're already excited about that ^^''.
As for me, so that we did not have to go to the cemetery today my family and I decided to visit the graves of our departed relatives yesterday. There were already a big number of people doing the same thing, despite it not being a holiday (usually October 31 is declared as a holiday so people can go back to their provinces to commemorate November 1-2). As usual, security was strict, but it was for everyone's safety so you just have to bear with the long lines of inspection and not to mention looking for a place to park your car. Good thing that our aunt's house was quite near so we left our car there and just walked a bit going to the memorial park. The prices of flowers and candles have gone up (as usual) too, so we didn't buy that many flowers this year. We still had some candles at home so we brought those so that we didn't have to buy again.
It was a good thing that we decided to stay home today, because it started raining and I wouldn't want to go to the cemetery when it's muddy. Not to mention the number of people going there now, since it's a holiday today and it's the exact date when we commemorate it.
We still managed to get busy at home. My mom and my sister started to clean the house and put up some of the Christmas decorations already. My dad spent much of the morning and the afternoon cleaning up his workroom at the attic (after clearly telling him not to touch anything I own in the cabinet reserved for me and my sister, when he fixes it I won't know where to find my stuff anymore).
And what did I do? I had to get back at working on my proposal, but then I had one of the worst cramp attacks =(. At first I tried to just bear the pain, but after a while I had to ask my mom from some medicine already. The medicine she gave me was supposed to be fast acting, but it wasn't. I decided to rest and sleep for a while, and it helped. Now, there's only little pain and i can move freely now. ^^
